One of Chin-yun’s most vivid childhood memories is seeing her mom and grandma weave triangle rush into mats and hats in their living room. The two then taught her how to weave at the young age of 6. Her days were spent at school during the daytime and in the living room in the evening, weaving with the women in her family. Rush weaving helped Chin-yun support her family financially. She is currently in her 60’s, a doting grandma, and still very much involved in the industry as a weaver and a small business owner.
A maker through and through, Chin-yun loves cooking from scratch and sharing her creations with family and friends. Her pickled ginger is heaven in a jar, and our team can attest to this! ;)
